A man was knocked unconscious and then robbed as he was about to go into his home in Corby.

The victim had just got out of a taxi in Halifax Square, Corby, some time between midnight and 12.10am on Monday, October 24, when the attack took place.

A police spokesman said: “As he approached his back gate, he was struck over the back of the head and then robbed of cash.”
