Man dies in A6 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision that took place on the A6 near Burton Latimer last night.

The collision took place at 10.30pm on Sunday 10 June, on the Burton Latimer bypass.

A blue BMW failed to negotiate a roundabout, losing control and the driver, a 60-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries.

The man was from Ely in Cambridgeshire and died at the scene.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
