Man dies after light aircraft crashes in Northamptonshire field
A man has died after his microlight crashed in a Northamptonshire field.
Police were called out to a field near Pitsford Reservoir just before 3pm on Saturday after reports a microlight had crashed.
The air ambulance was called, but sadly the pilot, a 70-year-old man from Cambridgeshire, died at the scene. Nobody else was injured.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau.
