Man charged with Olympic fraud

A MAN has been charged with fraud offences over a potential scam which saw dance school pupils offered the chance to take part in the Olympic Games closing ceremony.

Steve Moonesamy, 35, of Lowlands Close, Northampton, has been accused of four counts of fraud by false representation. A 31-year-old woman was also arrested and taken to a London police station has been bailed to return on May 16.

Police are investigating claims that Midlands, dance schools, including the Dance Factory in Kettering and Kilburn School of Dance in Wellingborough, were duped into thinking they would be taking take part in the ceremony in August.
