Man charged over Kettering stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Kettering this week.

Rodney Smith, 29, of Barkers Lane, Bedford, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police were called to Windmill Avenue, near the Tesco Express garage, just after 4am on Monday (September 17).

Two men were found with stab wounds and taken to hospital.

Smith appeared before magistrates on Wednesday (September 19) and has been remanded into custody to appear before Northampton Crown Court on October 22.

A 49-year-old man previously arrested in connection with the incident has been released with no further action to be taken.
