Man attacked in Higham Ferrers street robbery

A man has been robbed in Higham Ferrers.

The man was walking with his girlfriend when three or four men approached him and asked for a light. When he refused, they asked him for money.

He refused again, and they hit him and dragged his coat off him. The coat contained his wallet and money.

The incident took place in College Street between 11.30am and midday on Wednesday, December 10.

The main offenders are described as two white men wearing jeans and dark hoodies with the hoods up.

One was about 6ft with short dark greasy hair with a swept over fringe, similar to a quiff. He had a distinctive spiders web tattoo on the right hand side of his neck.
