A MAN was approached from behind and assaulted in the early hours of the morning in Kettering.
The 25-year-old was walking along Stamford Road from the direction of Windmill Avenue towards the town centre when he was approached from behind and assaulted.
It happened between midnight and 12.45am on Saturday, March 24.
The victim does not recall any of the incident as it is believed he may have been rendered unconscious.
He managed to make his way home, where relatives contacted the ambulance service.
As a result of the attack the victim received severe bruising to his head and face and required treatment at Kettering General Hospital.
