A £67,000 lottery prize has been claimed by somebody in the ‘Corby and Kettering area’ almost six months after their big win.
The lucky winner won £67,440.20 in the EuroMillions draw on April 22 but have only just claimed it with just a few weeks before the money would have got to a lottery project.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said it served as a reminder to check your tickets.
He said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money.
“We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
Unless the winner of a major National Lottery prize opts to take full publicity and signs an agreement to that effect, no further information can be released about their win.
