Lots to do at country fair

Thousands are expected to flock to Rockingham Castle for the annual Rockingham Country Show.

There is lots for all the family to do including The Horkesley Park Heavy Horse Display Team, Totally Terriers racing team, Polly’s Parrots, birds of prey flying displays, Totally Ponies, The Goat Show featuring milking and cheese making, the 44th Regiment of Foot, The Nuneaton Dog Display Team and working dogs with John Cavana as well as traditional children’s entertainment. On Sunday there is The Companion Dog Show, which is open to all dogs, and the proceeds go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

There will be arts, crafts and gift marquees as well as a food hall and rural demonstrators.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm both days and admission is £6 for adults, concessions £5, children aged five -16 £3 Family: £15 (two adults and two children). Car parking included. The entrance price for does not include access to the castle and gardens. On Sunday the castle and gardens are open and visitors to the show can buy a reduced price entry ticket of £5 per person.
