Lorry driver suffers serious injuries in A45 accident

A lorry driver has been hospitalised following a serious road traffic collision on the A45 on Friday morning (July 5).

The accident happened on the A45 Westbound between Wilby Way roundabout and Great Doddington turn, when the lorry collided with a road barrier.

The accident happened at around 1.50am on Friday morning (July 5). The 47-year-old driver from Luton was taken by land ambulance to Walsgrave hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.

The police are asking anybody with information, or who witnessed this incident, to call the ‘Drivewatch Hotline’ on 0800 174615.
