Lorry driver in a critical condition after crash which closed the A43 near Corby

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that took place at around 3pm on the A43 yesterday, Tuesday, September 4.

The collision happened on the A43 between Corby and Geddington and involved a white Scania cement mixer lorry. The lorry was travelling in from Corby to Kettering when, for reasons as yet unknown, the vehicle left the road and overturned into a ditch.

The driver, a 31-year-old man from Lincolnshire, was taken to Walsgrave Hospital by air ambulance where he is in a critical condition.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was near the entrance to Harkers Barkers Kennels and The Udder Pre-School at the time.
