Local beers and food on offer at young farmers’ beer festival this month

Grendon Young Farmers will host a beer festival in Hannington for the third consecutive year this month.

The Hannington Beer Festival 2012 will take place on Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30.

The festival is held on the road between Hannington, which is off the A43, and Holcot.

A spokesman said: “We will be showcasing the best of Northamptonshire’s local beers and ciders, with at least one beer from each of the local breweries.

“This year we have local food available too, from Browns Gourmet Sausages in Wollaston. Each year we have done our best to support local businesses in all that we do by getting them involved as much as possible.”

There will be musical entertainment at the festival over the two days.

On the Friday night local rock covers band The Vibe will perform and on the Saturday night Irish folk band Shannon Dore will entertain drinkers.

There will also be other entertainment and a raffle.

Beer will be served from 4pm until late on both days.

Admission £5 or free for under 18’s. ID will be required to purchase alcohol and camping is available.
