Rapid progress and improvements at The Latimer Arts College have resulted in a “good” grading by Ofsted following a visit by inspectors to the school last month.
Principal Siobhan Hearne, who says she hopes to achieve an outstanding grade within a year, was praised by inspectors for presiding over significant improvements since the previous inspection.
In their report, inspectors also noted the number of students achieving five or more good GCSE grades at A* to C, including English and mathematics, had been above the national average over the past three years.
In a message to parents and carers, Ms Hearne said: “This success follows three years of passionate and relentless determination to deliver a high-quality education for our students.
Outstanding status is within our reach, and we are determined that we will achieve this over the next 12 months.”
