Today is the last chance to vote for East Carlton Country Park to be named the UK’s best park at a forthcoming awards night.

Corby Council is calling on anyone that has used or visited the park to help make East Carlton Park the UK’s Best Park in the central England category by going online to and voting for the green space.

But people only have a few hours as voting closes at 5pm today (Wednesday).

East Carlton Country Park is up against nine other parks from the central England area.

The three parks with the highest number of votes will be shortlisted, with the winner for the UK’s Best Park revealed at the Fields in Trust Awards ceremony on December 2 at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

East Carlton Park is situated on the edge of Welland Valley through the Jurassic Way.

It is a place where visitors can enjoy the 100 acres of stunning surroundings while having a bite to eat with friends and family, keeping their youngsters entertained in the all inclusive play park or taking a stroll with their dog.

Facilities within the park include the cafe, children’s play area, play equipment for disabled children, picnic/BBQ area, Petanque court, campsite, museum, toilets and a range of shops including our very own volunteer run Foxy Woodland Shop.

The park has free parking and hosts a range of activities and events throughout the year – the most recent of which was a day and night full of Halloween fun which saw thousands of people visit.

Visitors can also enjoy craft workshops, walking groups and nature trails which are all held within the parkland.
