Corby Council is urging people sign up to the ‘Corby Mile’ in aid of Sport Relief with just a few days left until the event.

The event, which aims to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief, will take place on Sunday (March 20) from 12pm at Rockingham Triangle.

Participants are asked to arrive for 11am, and everyone is welcome to run, skip, jump or even hop to the finish line over a distance of one mile, three miles or six miles.

Anyone who signs up will take part in a mass warm-up from 11.45am led by local sports clubs and will also receive a goody bag at the finishing line for taking part.

There will also be a performance from the Steel Spirit Cheerleaders to get everyone ready and raring to go.

Taking part costs £7 for adults, £3 for children aged 16 and under, or £17 for two adults and two children, with participants able to sign up on the day.
