One eyewitness sent in these pictures and branded those responsible for starting the fire as ‘thoughtless idiots.’
They wanted to make people aware how dangerous the fire was and show that people’s lives were put at risk because of it.
The eyewitness said: “We really need to find out who was responsible for this to help prevent it happening again or even worse, escalating to someone’s house being targeted next.”
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of Dusthill Road during the evening, particularly between 8pm and 9m, is asked to contact police.
