A community centre in Desborough has suffered a break-in for the second time in a matter of weeks.
Thieves broke into Marlow House overnight, with staff there discovering the damage this morning (Friday, July 11).
Offenders again broke in through a kitchen window before they smashed a hole in an office door in order to gain entry and make off with laptops and money.
The community/day care centre’s deputy manager Sonia Trott said she was dismayed by the burglary, which comes just five weeks after cash was stolen from a charity collection tub during a break-in at Marlow House.
She added: “They have come through the kitchen window, got to the offices and smashed a hole in the office door because they couldn’t force it open.
“They’ve taken laptops, a little bit of cash and made a mess. It takes a lot for people to fundraise for that.
“It’s just devastating.”
Anyone with any information on the break-in can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
