Pioneers of the dance music genre Danny Rampling and Jeremy Healy are to take to the decks at Lounge 66 and Rubix nightclub, Corby.
They will be supported by Ministry of Sound DJ and producer Paul Morrell on Saturday, July 27.
Danny is credited as one of the original founders of the UK’s rave club scene, and his long affiliation with the house music genre has seen him grace turntables all over the world.
In 1987 Rampling attended Amnesia in Ibiza with fellow DJ Paul Oakenfold and, eager to recreate the feel of Ibiza clubbing, they kick-started the dance scene in the UK.
In the mid 1990s Danny, alongside Pete Tong, was one of the lead dance music presenters on BBC Radio 1’s dance schedule and his show The Love Groove Dance Party regularly featured icons of the genre including Madonna, Junior Vasquez, Todd Terry and David Morales.
Joining him at Corby will be the UK’s first superstar club DJ Jeremy Healy.
In the early 1990s he secured his status as true pop culture legend DJ-ing at clubs across the globe including Pacha in Ibiza and Ministry of Sound in London.
He has also worked as musical director for fashion houses Christian Dior, John Galliano, Victorias Secret, Jennifer Lopez Fashion, Naomi Campbell and Gwen Steffani.
The pay-on-the-door event at Rubix & Lounge 66 runs from 9pm until 4.30am and tickets will cost £5.
