A group of ladies, including two 97-year-olds, are set to show off a shop’s clothing collection at a fashion show.
Ladies from Rosewood Court in Wellingborough will show off stock from Carolyn’s Collection in Earls Barton at the show at the village’s Bowls Club on Wednesday, March 14.
Carolyn Palot-Watts, owner of Carolyn’s Collection, said: “Everywhere I looked for pictures of the type of clothes that I have in stock – particularly those for occasions like weddings – showed models who were far too young and slim to be realistic.
“When I re-married three years ago, my mother and aunt were aged 92 and 85 respectively. Ladies of that age still want to look glamorous on special occasions and I am keen to show that they can. So I asked if the ladies of Rosewood would dress in a selection of clothes, hats and accessories from my shop and was absolutely delighted with the results.”
Tickets for the show are £5, including a drink and nibbles, and are available from Carolyn’s Collection, Barton Sweets and Pink Rose Beauty in Earls Barton.
