Knife brandishing thug attacks driver

A knife-brandishing thug has attacked a man sitting in his car in a Kettering street.

The victim was sitting in his car in Nelson Street, Kettering, when a man approached him and struck him in the face. The offender was holding a knife which cut the victim above the eye. He then ran off down Havelock Street in the direction of Bath Road.

The attack happened on Saturday, August 10, between 7pm and 8pm, at the junction of Nelson Street and Havelock Street.

The offender is described as a white man, in his early twenties, of slim build and around 5ft 8ins tall. He had short blonde hair and was wearing a bright coloured, short sleeved shirt.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
