Two Kettering Town players have been charged with breaking FA rules on betting.
Brett Solkhon and Elliot Sandy have until Thursday, August 6, to respond to the alleged multiple breaches of FA Rule E8 in relation to betting.
A worldwide ban on betting on football came into force from August 1, 2014, for all those involved in the game at Premier League, Football League, Football Conference and Women’s Super League levels, as well as those at clubs in the the Northern, Southern and Isthmian leagues.
Kettering Town will be playing in the Southern League Premier Division when the season kicks off next Saturday.
Participants covered by the ban are prohibited from betting, either directly or indirectly, on any football match or competition that takes place anywhere in the world.
