A young street dance group will compete in the grand final of a national talent contest this Saturday.
Dancers from Kettering-based Overload Dance Academy will compete against talented acts from across the country in the final of Britain Does Variety at The Watford Palace Theatre.
Teacher Porcha Walsh, 22, said: “I’m very proud of all my dancers that took part and I’m extremly excited for Overload Reloaded. They have all worked so hard.”
Three of the school’s groups, Overload Remix’d, Overload Juniors and Overload Reloaded, and one solo dancer, Caprice Davies, entered the talent hunt in March.
All got through to the regional finals at the Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, on May 20.
Overload Reloaded, made up of dancers Caprices Davies, Tiana Davies, Lucy Harris, Charlotte Mellor, Jacob Walton, Tianna Anderson, Antonia Blackwell, Lily Stefanowicz, Ross Gadsden, Kate Sturdwick, Mai Secka, Kayleigh Troutman, Sinead Lack, Kyah Mayes and Abbie Saunders, made it through to the grand final this Saturday.
At least one act from the grand final will get the chance for perform live at the London 02 Arena.
