Toddlerz Day Nursery, in Crown Street, was praised by the education watchdog after it only opened its doors in January 2015.

The nursery was so impressive that inspectors had to ask permission to award them the grade - something rarely seen in first inspections.

Jane Todd from the nursery said: “We are very proud of the fact that we were awarded Outstanding in all areas.

“This is a huge achievement for a first inspection and we were told by the inspector that she had to obtain permission to award us this as it is almost unheard of for a setting to be given outstanding for a post-registration inspection.

“We are very proud of our achievement which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making our nursery a fantastic place for the children of Kettering to attend.”

The Ofsted report praised the nursery for its passion for its work and outstanding teaching skills.

The report said: “Children benefit from an inspirational and exciting learning environment.

“Every effort is made by staff to ensure that children are offered a settling-in procedure that is very carefully tailored to suit their particular needs.

“All children, including those who have special educational needs or disability, and those for whom the setting receives additional funding, are making exceptional progress.

Parents, without exception, speak of the wonderful care and learning experiences that their children receive.”

The nursery currently caters for 61 children between the ages of two and four and employs 14 members of staff.
