Kettering man found not guilty of rape

A Kettering man has been cleared of a series of charges including rape.

Scott Wood, 27, of Grasmere Road, had been charged over incidents alleged to have taken place between January 2015 and August 2016.

Last week at Leicester Crown Court he was found not guilty on the judge’s direction of three counts of rape, four counts of sexual assault and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

A restraining order was imposed with an indefinite period.
