A huge charity fundraiser will take place this weekend for a hospital that saved a seven month old baby’s life.
The fundraiser this Sunday has been organised by friends of Janet and Anthony Wilkinson, whose son Jack has a liver disease which affects one in 15,000 people.
The event will raise cash for Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s liver unit, where little Jack has spent the majority of his life.
Festivities kick off with a football match in the morning, featuring around 60 players, before a disco and BBQ at Watercress Harry’s, in Market Street, Kettering.
Then a three-legged race will take place around several town centre pubs.
A raffle and auction will also take place.
Janet, 36, of Olympic Way, Kettering, said: “It’s a lovely gesture.”
Tickets on the door at Watercress Harry’s are £5, and the event begins at 2.30pm.
To enter the race, it will cost £5 per pair.
