Churches in Kettering are clubbing together to provide a free Christmas Day dinner to “anyone who wants it”.
The Eden Centre in Montagu Street will host the turkey feast from midday and 2pm on December 25 after the success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 100 people.
The event is being put on by the Open Door Church, and Dr Tristan Harris says anyone is welcome.
He said: “Anyone is welcome to come, especially those who are on their own this year and families with low incomes who may struggle to get a nice Christmas meal.
“Christmas Day can be dull without good food and good company.
“Many will remember 21 Montagu Street as the Central Hall and more recently as Rehab nightclub.
“After a recent refit it has returned to its art deco roots and has a great atmosphere for a good meal together.
“If you want some good food and great company why not go along or invite someone down your street who night be on their own this Christmas.”
