It is only given to establishments which achieve an outstanding score in a healthy eating assessment.

There are currently only four holders of gold awards – the full list can be found here.

Kafe Bloc owner Tony Bagshaw said: “Winning the Eat Out Eat Well Award is a true source of pride for the entire team at Kafe Bloc and is recognition of the importance we place on the quality of our food.

“Since we opened we have worked hard to source locally produced ingredients which are then freshly prepared using healthier cooking methods.

“Needless to say we’re delighted to be adding this award to our Good Food Award and Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence Award which we received in 2015.”
