Pianist Jools Holland will be appearing at Kelmarsh Hall later this month – after the concert switched venues from another stately home in Northamptonshire.
Holland will now be taking his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to the hall, a few miles west of Rothwell, after having originally planned to appear at Althorp.
He will also be appearing alongside former Spice Girl Melanie C at the concert on Saturday, August 30.
A brief statement on the Althorp website today (Tuesday, August 12) said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Jools Holland concert will now be taking place at Kelmarsh Hall.”
Althorp, north west of Northampton, is the historic home of the Spencer family, and Diana, Princess of Wales, was interred there after her death in 1997.
A spokesman for Kelmarsh Hall said: “We are delighted to announce that Jools Holland will be performing alongside his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and special guest Melanie C on August 30 at Kelmarsh Hall.
“It will be a wonderful evening, as an open air concert at Kelmarsh Hall is always a special event.”
