Refreshments will be available, but anyone attending is welcome to take a picnic along with food, drinks and a blanket just in case the weather isn’t too good.

The event has been organised by Higham Ferrers Town Council and the Higham Ferrers Tourism, Business and Community Partnership.

More than 100 flags will be flying around the town in honour of the Queen’s birthday celebrations.

People are being asked to help decorate the picnic area with bunting, preferably red, white and blue, or to decorate their house or business for the occasion.
