Jamaican street food comes to Kettering
Sylvaine Francis and Kevin Johnson will launch Jamaican Delight in the Newlands Centre, serving up traditional Jamaican patties.
The pair have been working on becoming part of the town centre since they first talked about making the move from deliveries and collections via phone nine months ago.

“We have our regular customers and we’re hoping people in Kettering like them as much as we do.”
Caribbean street food has proved popular in the town on many Foodie Fridays with BoxFood serving up classics such as rice and peas and jerk chicken.
But Sylvaine and Kevin say they will be the only place in Kettering to get Jamaican street food almost every day of the week.

Patty fillings include chicken, salt fish, Sylvaine’s favourite halal lamb, beef, vegetables, and best-seller beef and cheese.
Also on sale will be pineapple and peach cake and orange cake as well as drinks such as supermalt and pineapple soda.
Jamaican Delight will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10am until 5.30pm.
They will also be holding ‘Try Something New Mondays’ with one free cocktail size vegetable patty for more than 60 new customers in October.
