Items stolen in Wellingborough care home break-in
Thieves stole electronic goods and opened Christmas mail after breaking into a Wellingborough care home.
The incident happened overnight between Wednesday, December 14, and Thursday, December 15, when two men forced their way into Palmer Court sheltered housing accommodation on Hatton Avenue.
They took a Nintendo Wii console, a Blu-Ray player and a CD player.
These were items the residents used on a daily basis for their entertainment.
The offenders also opened outgoing Christmas mail, intended for the residents’ friends and families, and scattered it over the floor, before making off through the front door in the direction of Broad Green.
Both offenders were white and slim.
One was clean-shaven with short brown hair and wore dark jogging bottoms and a grey tracksuit.
The other was wearing dark clothing including a hat and was riding a dark-coloured mountain bike.
