An Irchester woman has organised a fundraiser to raise money for local children’s charity KidsAid.
Suzi Lawless will host the event at Irchester Working Men’s Club on Saturday, September 26, with a number of stalls and games on offer from 12pm to 5.30pm.
An evening disco will also be held later on, with a getaway to a spanish apartment among the raffle prizes.
Suzi feels it is vital the charity gets more recognition for its work in helping support children who have been traumatised.
She said: “My friends and I wanted to do something that would bring our community together while also highlighting a worthwhile cause.
“We decided on KidsAid as they are a local charity and the work they do is fantastic, they support children through many traumatic events by providing counselling and support.
“We don’t feel that they get enough recognition for the difference they can make to people’s lives.
“There has been a lot of help from our children with this project and they are so enthusiastic, it would be great to show them what can be achieved with some hard work.
“Some of us are parents so we do really feel the urge to support children where possible and this seems a good place to start.”
Tickets to the event can be bought by contacting Suzi on 07454 776711 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
