A new big-name pizza chain is opening its doors in Corby town centre.

Papa John’s will take over the former Figaro’s Pizza takeaway in Everest Lane.

The chain is refitting the shop and will open its new outlet in about four weeks.

Papa John’s is the USA’s fourth largest pizza chain, with stores 4,000 worldwide and 250 in the UK.

Town Centre Director Daniel Pickard, of Helical Bar, said: “It’s nice to have another big name coming to Corby.

“Papa John’s is well-known for its exceptional quality and is a great addition to the town centre.”

Bosses at Helical Bar are also working hard to fill the empty anchor unit on the corner of Willow Place and Queen’s Square left when Jane Norman closed last month. They hope to be able to make an announcement about the store’s new occupants in the coming days.

They have also started work to create two new kiosks to brighten up Spencer Court.
