Inter-religion roadshow teaches pupils about faith

Pupils at an Irthlingborough school learned about different religions during a roadshow designed to promote good inter-faith relations.

Leicester-based charity the St Philip’s Centre took its Religion and Belief roadshow to Huxlow Science College, and pupils took part in a series of fun and interactive exercises designed to help them learn about different faiths or beliefs, including Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Humanism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.

The roadshow included food sampling, henna and finger painting and a clothing tent where pupils had the opportunity to wear items of dress associated with different faiths and cultures. They also signed a card supporting the need for respect in society.
