Inquest opens into the death of Northampton 20-year-old India Chipchase
An inquest into the death of India Chipchase was formally opened in Kettering today.
The 20-year-old’s body was discovered in Northampton on January 31, a day after she was reported missing after a night out with friends.
Forensic pathologist Dr Mike Biggs gave a provisional cause of death as pressure on the neck, pending toxicology and histology results.
Hundreds of tributes have been left since her death, with Miss Chipchase described as “a little smile machine who will be greatly missed by all”.
The inquest was adjourned until August 17 this year.
