A fun day held at a Corby supermarket has helped raise hundreds of pounds for Lakelands Hospice.
Activities including face painting, a tombola and a doughnut eating contest took place at the Morrison’s store, with people young and old getting behind the charitable venture.
And organisers have hailed what they have described as a massive response.
“We have never done this before,” said Morrison’s administration manager Claire Dobson. “A lot of people have been really generous. £500 was our goal and we are definitely way over that.”
“It’s something we want to carry on,” added the supermarket’s community champion Callum Reilly.
