A decaying hall will be transformed into a luxury hotel in a move that will bring in up to 100 jobs.
Kettering Council gave the plans to restore Grade II listed Barton Seagrave Hall the green light at a planning committee last night.
The application includes turning the hall, in Barton Road, Kettering, into a 52-room hotel, wedding venue, spa, and conference centre.
The works will be carried out by the Hazelton Group, which also operates Rushton Hall as a hotel.
Councillors on the committee unanimously voted for the plans, but added a condition that the group must provide a scheme for traffic management of vehicles coming onto the site during the refurbishment.
