Huge new '˜trampoline arena' given the go-ahead in Northamptonshire
Plans for an indoor trampoline park in a disused Northampton parcel warehouse have been given the green light.
And developers are looking to open the new family facility at the former City Link building in Fairground Way, Riverside Business Park, by July.
Boost Trampoline Park Northampton is set to feature a main jump area featuring 80 trampolines, two “extreme dodge ball” courts and basketball nets for aerial “slam dunking”.
Director for Boost Northampton, Alex Read, says the facility will also create 50 jobs.
He said: “Trampoline parks are a really fresh new leisure business for the UK.
“They are great fun for children and adults and combine fitness as well as having fun – which is great.
“Boost Trampoline Park Northampton is our first trampoline park venture. We hope to open several more trampoline parks in 2016 and beyond.”
Mr Read said Boost would host a range of classes and events including children’s parties and corporate events.
There are also plans to create dodgeball league, fitness classes and mum and toddler sessions.
Plans for the park feature a mezzanine viewing gallery with café and six function rooms for hosting children’s parties.
