A sheltered housing scheme in Wellingborough has celebrated its 35th anniversary.
Wellingborough mayor Cllr Jim Bass helped residents of Attley Court, and people from the community, celebrate.
The housing scheme, run by Housing & Care 21, has a newly refurbished communal lounge, which is a hub for the community including Age UK’s tea timers, who were there on the day along with representatives from St Mark’s Church, Support Wellingborough, and children from Olympic Primary School.
Attley Court’s manager, Martin Sawers, said: “We were delighted to welcome Cllr Bass to our celebration, recognising what a fantastic place Attley Court is to live. I am so proud to manage a court that the residents deserve, a place they are happy to spend their time in.”
Long-standing resident Sid Wallis said: “This is definitely one of the best things that has ever happened here, this makeover has brought us in to the 21st century.”
