Housing developer reveals plans to build 250 affordable homes in Northamptonshire towns

Westleigh say the houses will be built in Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby, working in partnership with Waterloo Housing Group, Riverside Housing Association, Spire Housing and emh group, together with Northamptonshire Borough Council, Kettering Borough Council, Corby Borough Council and Borough Council of Wellingborough.

“Each of the developments has been made possible as a result of our strong working partnerships with the local councils and housing associations and we look forward to continuing to deliver affordable homes to meet demand in the future.”

Two developments in Northampton have recently been completed, thanks to a partnership between Westleigh, emh group and Northamptonshire Borough Council. Situated on Raeburn Road and Grafton Street, both of the developments have provided 38 new homes, including a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom properties which have been let for affordable rent through emh group.

Work is underway on a development at Booth Rise, which will provide a further 38 new affordable homes for the area thanks to a partnership between Northampton Borough Council, Westleigh and emh group.

In the East of Northamptonshire in Raunds, Westleigh is building a further 21 new affordable homes close by on Brick Kiln Lane, in partnership with Spire Housing and The Borough Council of Wellingborough, which is expected to be completed in December 2016.

Wellingborough has gained a total of 19 new affordable homes on The Embankment, which were completed in March 2016 through a partnership between The Borough Council of Wellingborough and emh group. Earlier on in the year, Westleigh’s Rockingham Road development in partnership with Riverside Housing Association and Corby Borough Council, completed in January 2016 providing 24 new affordable homes for Corby.

Construction work has begun for 72 new affordable homes for Kettering at Laburnum Crescent, providing a mix of one bedroom flats, one and three bedroom bungalows and two, three and four bedroom houses thanks to a partnership between Westleigh, Waterloo Housing Group and Kettering Borough Council.
