A number of housing associations are hosting an open house-style event in Kettering next Saturday, March 22, to demonstrate a number of council and housing association homes available for rent.
The event has been organised by Kettering Council in partnership with housing associations including Home, Orbit Heart of England, Accent Nene, ASRA Housing Group and Anchor.
A number of homes will be open between 10am and 4pm and staff will be on hand to show visitors around, as well as provide information about additional homes across the Kettering area.
There will also be children’s activities and free refreshments as well as a free raffle for all attendees and a free goody bag for the first 50 applicants.
Visitors will be able to apply to the Keyways Housing Register and have housing applications processed on the day. Anyone wishing to do this must bring evidence of their circumstances on the day.
Additionally, anyone expressing an interest in a house or flat they view on the day, will be informed in three working days whether or not they will be offered the property.

John Conway, head of housing at Kettering Council, said: “The open day provides a great opportunity for people who are looking for a home of their own to see what’s available and get free and impartial advice from our team of friendly experts.”
Cllr Steve Bellamy, Kettering Council’s portfolio older for housing, added: “This open house event is a great chance to have a look at some of the houses available, receive some useful advice and take advantage of the three day deal.”
