Desborough Town are now without a win in five matches in all competitions after they lost 2-0 to Holbeach United at the R Inn Stadium.

Whitworth suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat at Pinchbeck United, who took over at the top as a result, and Rothwell Corinthians’ search for a first league win of the season continues after they were beaten 3-0 at Sleaford Town.

Irchester United picked up an excellent success on the road in Division One as they sealed a 3-2 success at Harrowby United.

Tom Gordon, Alfie Taylor and Ryan Lovell were on target for the Romans who claimed their fifth win in eight league matches.

Burton Park Wanderers suffered a 4-3 defeat at Bourne Town, despite having led 2-1 at one stage.

Mason Thomas and Paul Caswell had them in front in the second half but they conceded three goals before Caswell added his second, although it proved to be only a consolation.

Rushden & Higham United slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to Birstall United with Jack Dyson on target for the Lankies.

Thrapston Town were beaten 3-0 at leaders Anstey Nomads and Raunds Town’s miserable campaign continued as they lost 8-0 Aylestone Park to leave them rooted to foot of the table.
