A Higham Ferrers man has handed over a cheque for £1,100 to staff at the hospital where he was treated nearly 20 years ago.
Pete Austin, 63, of Lancaster Street, Higham Ferrers, has been supporting the Oxford Trauma Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital for more than 15 years following a serious industrial injury 18 years ago.
He hosts regular quiz nights at Rushden Town Bowls Club along with other fundraising events and activities to boost funds.
Next month his son Craig, 28, is supporting this cause by climbing Mount Snowdon.
Anyone wishing to sponsor Craig can email for more details.
