The event has been organised by Higham Ferrers Town Council and the Higham Ferrers Tourism, Business and Community Partnership.

More than 100 flags will be flying around the town in honour of the Queen’s birthday celebrations.

People are being asked to help decorate the picnic area with bunting, preferably red, white and blue, or to decorate their house or business for the occasion.

It is also hoped that anyone attending the event will take their family and friends with them, as well as asking their neighbours to join in so everyone can enjoy the celebrations.
