DRUGS were seized and people arrested as police carried out a high-impact day across the county.

The crackdown on Wednesday focused on serious acquisitive crime, protecting vulnerable people and reducing violent crime.

Two men were arrested in Wellingborough for burglary and there were eight curfew checks across the county.

In Northampton, a dog believed to be subject to cruelty was rescued, cannabis was seized from a man and two people were arrested for assault.

Seven disruption visits were also carried out in the east.
