Corby Council and Northamptonshire Police are calling on residents to help spruce up the Old Village.

They are invited to take part in a litter pick on Thursday, February 27, from 2pm until 4pm.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Corby Old Village Community Centre in High Street where they will be given equipment to pick up litter. When the hard work is done, refreshments will be served in the community centre.

Leader of the borough council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “Our Big Pick events have been very successful and well received by all involved. We have received tremendous backing from our communities with up to 45 members of the community volunteering. We hope that this support continues and we see many out at the latest Big Pick.”
