Residents in Corby can help set the borough council’s agenda for tackling issues in the community at a series of fun events being held next week.

The first of Corby Community Safety Team’s August Take Action events is on Tuesday at the Autumn Centre, Counts Farm Road, from 10am until 2pm, when Exeter Little Ambassadors will be raising money for new play equipment.

On Wednesday at West Glebe Park, from midday until 4pm, there will be an event to mark National Play Day and on Thursday at Priors Hall Park, from 2pm until 4pm, there will be a session offering parents advice on community health and safety.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “Through public consultations and community meetings we are able to highlight the top priorities of residents within local areas in the borough.

“These events are always a great success and while the teams make their way around the borough residents are bound to pick up some useful advice and information.”
