Volunteers have been invited to play a role in the final stages of the restoration of Wicksteed Park’s lake.
The park has invited people to take part in help days on March 22, 29 and April 5.
Help sessions begin at 10am and 1pm each day. They will include tasks such as scrub clearing and coppicing.
Park community link manager Charlotte Widgery said: “As a charity, we don’t have the money to pay for an army of helpers for tasks such as these but the local community has always held the park close to their hearts and this is a great chance for them to play their part in the project.”
Volunteers are asked to take a packed lunch, gardening gloves if they have them and sensible clothing and footwear, and to meet at reception at the start of each session.
