The Clean for the Queen campaign was launched last week and Corby will jump on board on March 4, 5 and 6, with the Queen celebrating her birthday in June.

The council will be calling on volunteers to help out, and has urged residents to keep their eyes open for more details in the near future.

Corby Council leader Cllr Tom Beattie said: “Corby Council hosts a number of litter picks throughout the year, so this is a campaign we are more than happy to support.

“With various friends of groups already willing to get stuck in, hopefully we can get members of the public, schools and businesses on board to get Corby looking spick and span for the Queen’s 90th birthday.”
