Henry the dog will proudly wear his own specially-adapted tabard when he joins Samaritans on the Waendel Walk in aid of the charity for people in distress and despair.
The lurcher, his owner Jenny Paxton, of Rushden, and fellow Samaritan Pat Dickie, of Kettering, are being sponsored to walk six miles through the Northamptonshire countryside on Sunday for the charity’s Kettering and district branch.
Mrs Paxton said: “I’m really looking forward to it.”
Branch director Sue Howes has made a special Samaritans tabard for Henry to wear.
To sponsor the trio, pop into the branch in Montagu Street, visit www.virginmoneygiving.com/ketteringanddistrict samaritans or send a cheque made out to the Samaritans to 111 Montagu Street, Kettering, NN16 8XL.
